Mohammed Sanooj is the Founding Partner and a senior legal consultant at S&A Legal, with over 15 years of diverse legal experience spanning the UAE, India, and key international jurisdictions. Sanooj is known for his hands-on, strategic approach to legal advisory and his ability to deliver practical, business-minded solutions in complex legal environments.
Sanooj holds an LLM in Commercial Law from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom, and a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kerala, India. He began his legal career in the Indian courts before relocating to the UAE, where he has held senior positions with leading law firms, including Galadari Advocates, Bin Haider Advocates, and a boutique European law firm based in Dubai.
Over the years, he has built a strong reputation for his work in corporate structuring, cross-border transactions, investor due diligence, fraud investigations, and multi-jurisdictional dispute resolution.
At S&A Legal, Sanooj leads the firm’s corporate advisory and dispute resolution teams.
He advises a broad range of clients, including SMEs, multinational corporations, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals, on matters involving shareholder arrangements, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, agency/distribution structuring, and litigation strategy. He also acts for clients in real estate investment and development matters, employment disputes, and white-collar crime investigations.
His portfolio includes representing clients in contentious and non-contentious matters before local and federal courts, as well as coordinating with international legal counsel on overseas litigation, arbitration, and enforcement of judgments. He is also regularly engaged for pre-litigation negotiations, risk assessments, and compliance reviews across a range of industries, including oil and gas, technology, logistics, hospitality, and manufacturing.
